4.4 / 5 · 110 totalAs an architect who has both attended and presented at the Build and Design Centre, I can say with confidence that this is a genuinely valuable resource for the building and design industry. The centre offers a well-curated space where professionals can explore products, connect with suppliers, and stay across what's current in the market — all under one roof. For our practice, it's a practical and trusted reference point. What truly sets the Build and Design Centre apart, though, is their commitment to giving back to the industry. Rather than simply operating as a showroom, they actively invest in the professional community — bringing together architects, builders, interior designers, and tradespeople in a way that fosters real connection and knowledge sharing. Initiatives like their seminar series are a testament to this ethos: they create genuine opportunities for industry professionals to learn, contribute, and grow together. It's rare to find a business that so clearly understands the ecosystem it operates within and takes an active role in supporting it. That's what makes the Build and Design Centre stand out, and why we continue to value our relationship with them.
If you renovating or building it’s certainly worth a look. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable
Huge white elephant. Every time I’ve been here there is no one in the building to assist you. 5 times now and have to go elsewhere. Only reason I’ve given 2 stars is the girls on reception
A better experience than l was expecting. I was considering Caesar Stone for my kitchen reno, they had large samples on display to view. Polytec display is great have all there colours and finishes on display. Staff were very helpful. Surprised by the amount of products on display .
Parking underneath, great assortment of displays, helpful staff in foyer. Gives me the opportunity to see lots of products in one place, and no persistent sales people.
I found this place good, as it is like a permanent mini expo of so many company's products in mini displays. There were very few people around so you don't get crowded by other visitors nor hassled by sales staff. You can just go in and wander, and pick up brochures at the end for any of the companies, or just have a touch & feel of displays that are also all listed on their website.
Not a food review but The Build and Design Centre deserves a mention for the service they provided last week in relation to skylights and cabinets. I was very impressed with the options on show here. Helpful staff at the door. The directions however are a bit like IKEA so you get to see everything 😁 A special mention to the Polytec person who solved an issue I had been having with a builder in 5 minutes and gave me design samples instead of small patches. They also took the time to explain the differences between the products for me and showed me as well. If you are doing a renovation, are a designer or just need inspiration, I would recommend The Build & Design Centre highly.
