Aalbor Kitchens did a great job removing a very old kitchen and installing a new contemporary kitchen in our unit at Bondi. They were efficient and had some great ideas along the way to make improvements. I am very happy with their workmanship and the finished product.

Our friend recommended Boris/Aalbor Kitchens so I contacted him in Jun 2024 for our bathroom/kitchen renovation. There were some positive experiences but equally we've been disappointed with the workmanship and slow/inappropriate handling of issues. Positives: - Quick quote - Local factory/showroom (for eastern suburbs people) - Detailed  drawings - Past experience doing other unit in the same block - Offer aids in the bathroom/kitchen fitting selections - Good communication before quotes were signed off so initially my wife and I felt confident about what we were getting Negatives: -  Slow turnaround My kitchen and bathroom renovation ran for 10 weeks between 29 Jul and 5 Oct to the point that my neighbours complained about the ongoing noise and the fact that the dirty plastic carpet protector had to stay for so long. One neighbour showed me his unit who has been completely renovated by another builder and they finished the whole thing in just 1 month with twice as much renovation scope. Aalbor Kitchens were renovating another unit in the same block and they also suffered from the same slow turnaround as me. They probably have taken more projects than they could handle. - No visibility/status update over project progress I asked for status updates regularly but they could not always give me a straight answer. There had been weeks when there were no activities at all. - No room for price negotiation and some items they quoted were so overpriced that we had to exclude and supply them ourselves. - Unpleasant handling of some issue By far this is the most negative experienced I had with them. I asked for additional power point on balcony with separate fuse for AC installation but their electrician only connected the new cable to a nearby power point and when I questioned it, the project manager wanted to charge me 3 times what had been agreed before to get it rectified instead of honouring the quote. I refused this charge and escalated the issue to Boris who passed it on to another PM who then agreed in writing to waive the cost completely and let me call my own electrician to do it properly before they install the kitchen stone top. To my surprise when I received the final bill, Aalbor still tried to bill me part of the cost of the balcony power point they had agreed to waive. I asked them and the first project manager insisted to charge me. I argued that this was their cost that should not be attributed to me since they had agreed to waive it. However I never received any confirmation or apology from them since. They also misbilled me for a backflow converter I supplied that their plumber lost/misplaced that they agreed to reimburse me for. Then when they reissued the invoice to remove this erroneous charge, they still did not remove the electrical work item that they had agreed to waive previously. I found it appalling that they treated customer this way by twice dishonouring the agreement for a small amount of cost compared to overall project value. - poor workmanship, quality control, and cleanliness They had to return to adjust drawers that were not straight, noticeable gaps between doors, uncovered drilled holes and small damages from mis-drillings, large and uneven shelf cuts under sinks for the drain pipes, and misconnected laundry tap (mostly addressed on as-best-as-they-could basis). After moving in, I had to clean my very dirty kitchen flyscreen covered by the demolition dusts myself, and they are yet to respond to my complaint about the under kitchen drawers' dirtiness and come to check the fading door paint issue as promised by the PM 4 weeks ago.

I engaged Aalbor Kitchens for my bathroom renovation in November 2023. From the beginning stages of the design, as well as the patience they showed whilst I was awaiting strata approval, then leading to the execution of the renovation made the entire process stress free. All workmanship was neat and tidy and completed within their estimated time frame. The professionalism, communication and workmanship from Aalbor Kitchens was excellent and I highly recommended them. Great job! We used Aalbor Kitchens to completely renovate a kitchen, laundry and bathroom is a small rental unit. Boris and his team guided us through the process, which was a challenge since we were interstate. Despite this we were kept informed of the progress, the work was completed on time and within the budget we had agreed, and we were very happy with the end product.
