IKEA's Adelaide store is reviewed overwhelmingly as a general furniture and home-goods retailer — shoppers praise the affordable range, in-store cafe and hot dog stand, and staff at the self-service pickup point — rather than as a dedicated renovation specialist. Genuine kitchen and laundry planning work does surface in reviews, with design consultants such as Nic and Alysse credited for talking customers through built-in and laundry layouts before ordering. A handful of reviewers describe the store as a maze that's easy to get lost in, and one mentions rising prices. With a 4.2 average from 6,710 reviews, IKEA functions here primarily as a big-box retailer that also offers kitchen and laundry design appointments.

People just pouring out from everywhere or wandering the isle in a zig zag way not caring about anyone behind them. The self help maps don't help at all. There used to be elevators but not one found. Sensory overload place that needs serious work on how you actually move around and better signage so you know what section you are in and what items are actually there.
Food is great, their items are good. What's not to love?
We easily booked an appointment for the same day to discuss our new laundry. I cannot recommend this process and Nic more! He was wildly helpful and really took the time to understand what we needed for the space, making the process so simple and cost effective. Nic is an absolute wizard.
5 staff chatting at cashier while been advised a misleading price between the system and the showroom, none of them actually bothered to investigate, 10 mins later, one finally left the group fun time just re price on our check out after another mis pricing occurred during the process, which is unprofessional practice towards your organization not the customer. Received zero customer service and unprofessional problem solving experience. Adelaide Ikea brings the company culture to another level today to your loyal customer since the first one opened in Tempe. Check your footage will tell the story. 28/05 Thursday between 1550-1610.
I had the absolute best experience ever. I was a little nervous/overwhelmed about getting and designing built ins. Alysse was absolutely incredible. She took the time to really make sure it was exactly as we wanted. She was so happy to help, we went through every tiny detail. She is absolutely amazing.
Great place for shopping for household items from beds to cupboards to kitchenware... they have it ... In store staff were friendly ... they delivered on the arranged day ... although I asked to be notified 30mins before delivery to be home I was not notified and I was at the shops and they just left my purchase at the front door... I was not happy ... it does influence my next purchase... I have since not purchased here because of this...
Took a friend visiting from Malaysia and we both loved it. We had lunch which was yum and very inexpensive. I loved the shopping. It is the only shop that I have been to that there is everything you could possibly need in your home. And soooo inexpensive. Really worth going because you won't regret it 🙏😊❤️
