Impala Kitchens and Bathrooms

4.5(115 reviews)·Perth

Impala Kitchens and Bathrooms, with a showroom in Drummoyne, handles combined kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovations and holds a 4.5 average from 115 reviews — including some repeat customers returning after twenty years for a second kitchen. Designers Paul, Amber, David and Andrew and project managers Robert, Gary and Cara are named across many reviews for managing multi-room renovations end to end. Feedback is largely five-star, though a couple of four-star reviews note the process required more day-to-day client involvement than expected despite an excellent final result. Reviewers describe the business as not the cheapest option but among the best for quality.

Impala recently completed a renovation of our kitchen, bathroom, powder room and laundry. They were professional from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with the design and quality of the work. Having Impala project manage the whole job minimised disruption and stress associated with such a large scope of works. They were very efficient, highly communicative around timeframes and any issues that arose were identified and resolved promptly. A big thank you to Cara, Robert, Amber, Pierre and Jason as well as their team of skilled tradesmen and responsive office staff- would definitely recommend.

We chose Impala (and Tim) because we were so happy with the work they had done for us in renovating the kitchen in our previous home. Our experience this time has not been quite so brilliant. The design Tim executed was based on a concept that we gave him, and it works well except for one major design fail. In a small kitchen, where space is at a premium we have been left with a sizeable waste of that precious space. Tim's original plans showed a cupboard with a wide front extending into a corner space above our appliance cupboard, with a narrow cupboard filling the remaining space. After the check measure I signed off on the drawings that had been sent: however the cupboards had been changed so that the wide-fronted cupboard no longer extended, and the narrow opening was the only access to a cupboard the full depth and width of the appliance cabinet rendering the cupboard essentially useless. This was a significant change to the original design which was not brought to my attention at the time: had it been I would not have signed off. Positives of the project were: Tim, the responsiveness of the Impala team (thanks Tracey and Holly). Kudos also to most of the subbies: Mike the installer, Kai the plumber, Anup, the stone installers, Terry the plasterer, and the tiler (I didn’t get his name, but his work has won everyone’s admiration). The project was also completed within the allocated time. On the downside: the chaotic electrician who not only made a number of bewildering mistakes, showed up unannounced on the wrong day, damaged the exterior of a cupboard, and used the front door instead of the side entrance which required a massive clean-up of our living areas and corridor: we got there in the end, but he’s not doing the Impala brand any favours. Brickbats also to the demolition team who also felt that the front door rather than the side entrance was the preferred access route, again requiring a monumental clean-up effort after they had gone. Finally, the after-sales service has been sadly lacking: we had a site inspection to notify and defects for rectification shortly after the project was completed at the end of November 2025. I followed up two weeks after the visit to be told that the site supervisor had left the company, and the new one would be in touch in mid-January. I followed up on 1 February 2026 and was told the new supervisor would be in touch, but as of today's date (21 February 2026) have heard nothing, which is disappointing to say the least. UPDATED: After several weeks of phone tag with the owner of Impala following the publication of this review, the corner cupboard area was remediated (at cost) at the end of April to become a useable and sizeable space.

Although not the cheapest option, Impala is unquestionably among the best. This was our second kitchen with them—twenty years after the first—and once again they delivered. From the initial design discussions through to final installation, the team remained consistently professional, reliable, and easy to work with. The combined efforts of Tim, Dave, Holly, Doug, and finally Pierre made the whole process seamless. We’re delighted with the end result and who knows… maybe we’ll be ready for kitchen #3 in another twenty years.…

I’d like to thank the entire Impala team for our new bathroom, laundry & kitchen. From the moment I walked into the Drummoyne showroom, greeted & attended to, I knew this was the company I wanted to deal with. Firstly, designer Andrew came out for a two hour rough check measure to determine designs. A week later, back at the showroom we reviewed the plans making slight changes & I still hadn’t told him I was proceeding. I couldn’t believe the consult took 5 hours adding additional upgrades, selecting colours & finishes as the time flew by. A few weeks later check measurers came out, Dave for the kitchen & Amber for the bathroom & laundry area. The kitchen & bathroom look great. I’m still blown away with the clever design as the old bathroom was small & showering meant standing in the tub. Whereas the kitchen has heaps of extra storage & bench space. Bathroom site / project manager Robert was excellent, I can’t speak highly enough of him. Onsite every few days instructing the tradies with exact details on what needed to be done & how. He was all over everything & great at follow ups & solving the odd build issues as expected with an old house. All the tradies were super efficient, professional & easy to deal with. They were a combination of Impala employees & sub contractors. If I was to do another renovation, I’d happily go with Impala again.

Our expectations were exceeded at every step from our initial enquiry call with Julie her friendly professionalism and engaging manner was a delight. Given our circumstances we had short time lines to replace our kitchen and bathroom Reshi from Sales attended with in a few days listened to our needs and translated them with a plan within 24 hours. Once signed we were introduced to Vic to check measure the Kitchen and Amber to check measure the bathroom - both ensured they fully understood our requirements and even offered further enhancements. Amber shared her knowledge and helped us source affordable appliances and provided amazing suggestions for our consideration. Their attention to detail and the process was impressive. They were both extremely patient with my never ending questions and need for clarification. We were then introduced to Robert our Project Manager for the bathroom. He set the scene well and shared with us what to expect and kept us us fully informed with daily updates. In addition I was impressed by each trade ringing me to introduce themselves and to confirm their arrival times. Haydn the plumber and David the carpenter were exceptional and provided some great problem solving for us. The tilers did a standout job and did not complain when I had to call them back to replace two tiles our window installer damaged. The sense of urgency displayed by all was appreciated. The kitchen was monitored by Tracey and Pierre they were both always available to help answer questions. Hollie provided seemless scheduling, oversight and follow up. I have already and will continue to recommend Impala to everyone I know. They delivered quality impressive work on time and within our budget. Thank you everyone.

We've recently had Impala's team fully renovate our Laundry, 3 Bathrooms and a Kitchen. We were impressed by the professionalism of Impala's designers (David and Amber) as well as project managers (Robert and Gary), they were very helpful all throughout the project and never missed a detail. Special thanks to Rashi the sales associate, she was very enthusiastic and kickstarted the project for us. Robert was very responsible, meticulous and patient with us. Tracy our scheduler was extremely professional and followed up with us diligently with updates. We are very happy with the result as well as the quality of the work overall. There were quite a few communication issues. Especially with the suppliers Impala recommended (Beaumont Tiles specifically), with them messing up our items and the amount it, resulting in a lot of back-and-forth and project delays. There were also a few issues with Impala and the stone benchtop company's communication, resulting in a few incorrectly measured stones and causing delays. Another communication issue was a misunderstanding on the original contract, on whether electrical components were included for the bathroom or not. While it was selected on the contract, it was not made clear to us that it did not encompass all works (e.g. light installation). We recommend Impala to explicitly explain what works are and are not included in the beginning so as not to cause confusion during the project.
