Josh, Connor and the CRU team did a great job on our ensuite Reno, plus laundry. Always responsive and available to answer any questions. Work completed in a timely manner and to a high quality. Only snag we had was on miscommunication of painting the ensuite ceiling as we agreed to paint the laundry. No drama and resolved quickly. A few pics of the excellent tiler work by Dillon and Jacko.

The boys just finished a complete high end laundry renovation, could not be happier, they are very professional and could not do enough to keep us happy. I regret to say that my experience with Josh from CRU Constructions was extremely disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. The job involved repairing two small bathrooms due to waterproofing failure. Josh made it clear early on that he preferred new builds rather than renovation work and complained about issues he’d had with rental properties in the past. I proceeded only because I was struggling to find someone willing to quote. After inspecting the bathrooms, Josh recommended fully gutting both. His written quote came back at $36,180.32 for two small bathrooms. Multiple independent trades later reviewed the quote and confirmed it was significantly overpriced for the size and scope of works. Two major cost concerns included: Plumbing — $8,712.00 Ref 3.1 — Install tap ware for vanity & shower (Qty: 2) Sheeting & Wetsealing — $5,456.00 When I asked reasonable questions about these inflated costs — along with duplicated items and errors in the contract — I was spoken to rudely and accused of being “angry,” despite the call being on loudspeaker in a plumbing supply store, where multiple witnesses confirmed I was calm and simply seeking clarity. When I requested a corrected quote, Josh refused and said the contract would “just be changed later.” My husband questioned why the pricing suggested full plumbing redesign — only then were we told that Josh adds 20% “just to make phone calls to tradies.” Josh stated we could use our own plumber, so we arranged one — a few thousand dollars cheaper and available immediately. Within minutes of confirming this update, Josh abruptly cancelled the job, refunded the deposit, and provided no valid explanation — despite us having already signed the contract at his request. This experience demonstrated: • Inflated and inconsistent pricing • Lack of transparency in documentation • Rude and condescending communication • Hostility when questioned • Zero accountability Based on my experience, I cannot recommend CRU Constructions for renovation or remedial works. The conduct and lack of integrity were unacceptable — particularly for a $36,000+ project. Customers deserve transparency — not retaliation for asking fair questions.

Recently had a quote from the cru constructions, and that horrible little man that calls himself Joshua Cathcart when I declined on the very pushy quote that I would have to get back to you Joshua had said, DONT BOTHER CALLING ME BACK and this company is supposed to be professional this is not what you want to hear out of a company boss mouth, Joshua is just a horrible little man that pushes for the job and when you don't go ahead with it this is what happens and to me this is not great business so just be careful will never recommend this company ever

Cru Constructions have completed our House extension/renovation and they have done a great job. Josh and Conor are a pleasure to deal with, they always kept in touch advising when the Trades would be onsite and the progress of the job. The Renovation was not easy regarding access but nothing was too much trouble for them.
